Summary of Lock Your Hart On Kids Parent Handbook


Two week trial period: to determine the suitability of the childcare arrangement with the child, parent, and provider.

Hours: flexible hours, days, evenings, overnight, and weekends. All hours are scheduled. The childcare facility is only open when I have scheduled children in care. No drop-in childcare.

Fees: Variable rates. Please call for info. on your child. This fee is for work and travel times only, for 10 hours or less.

Schedules: Due as soon as you receive them or by Sunday of the week of care.

Absences: Call by 7 am or the night before. Non-emergency absences are charged a daily fee unless notified ahead of time.

Substitute Care: I have qualified substitutes if I need to leave the childcare facility.

Illness Policy: Keep your child at home if any of the following symptoms are present: fever of 101 or greater; vomiting; diarrhea; green, runny nose; rash; pink eye; head lice; any other contagious illness.

Nap Time: all children under 5 years will lie down for a rest/nap period.

Two-week notice: Written notice is needed to discontinue childcare, paid in full for two weeks of care even if your child does not attend for the full two weeks.
